Crystal Clear Aquatics Pool Service

The CCA Reputation – Quality Service Equals Customer Satisfaction

Let’s get this out of the way – Crystal Clear Aquatics will be the last pool service company you hire. We are that good and proud of it.

The “elephant in the room” is that pool service is increasing lumped together with less desirable professions. And that brings us to the ugly truth about pool service. This general attitude of “not trusting service people” is rampant throughout the “blue-collar” service industries. In fact, if you were to ask your local BBB, they’ll tell you that Movers, Roofers and Construction companies in particular are constantly vying for the top spot on the BBB’s list of “worst offenders” and “most complaints.”

Increasingly, pool service companies are getting a bad reputation from “pool shark” companies.

Crystal Clear makes good on our promises. Check us out on Facebook, Google +, Yelp and Angie’s List.

Preparing a Florida Pool for Winter

For most of Florida, pool season ends generally in October. If your pool is not heated, here are some tips for preparing a Florida pool for winter with shorter days and cooler nights resulting in significantly lower pool temperatures, especially for uncovered pools that lose lots of heat to the nighttime sky.

In northern states, it is fairly common to totally drain a swimming pool during the winter months. While we may not have to “winterize” our pools in Florida, we still need to take some important steps to keep our pools happy and healthy year-round. Here are some tips for preparing a Florida pool for winter, if your pool is not heated for “year ’round use”.

Continue Cleaning

Keep your filter clean and vacuum as usual. Even though you are probably using your swimming pool less frequently during the winter months, it is still important to maintain a regular cleaning routine. Empty the debris traps every few days to prevent leaves and debris from building up and clogging your pool’s filtration system.

Monitor Water Level

As rainfall decreases and chilly nights become more common, the water in your pool will begin to evaporate. Don’t be surprised if your water level drops an inch or two in a week. To prevent your pool’s water level from getting too low, monitor it and add water as needed.

Prevent Algae Build-Up

Keep testing the water and keep it circulating! Even in winter, many areas of Florida are prone to algae bloom, due to fluctuating temperatures and weather conditions. To prevent algae build-up, test your swimming pool’s water chemistry and balance as needed. run the pump for at least 6 hours a day.

Invest in a Pool Heater!

A pool is a big investment. For maximum enjoyment even when it’s chilly out, make the most out of your swimming pool by investing in a pool heater and you can enjoy your well-maintained pool throughout the winter.

Crystal Clear Aquatics Pool Service

Palm Beach County Pool Leak Detection

Crystal Clear Aquatics Pool Service in Wellington is your Palm Beach County pool leak detection expert. First step? Confirm you actually have a leak.

Your pool will naturally lose some water to evaporation, splash-out and some to backwash wastewater. You may also gain water from rainfall. if you’re routinely adding more than two inches of water to your pool per week, you may have a leak. It is worth spending some time and money to repair before the situation worsens.

Pools are meant to be watertight but sealants will deteriorate while other parts of your pool shift and settle or just wear out. Pools can leak through any of the fittings or accessories, plumbing, and lighting. It is important to repair leaks, not only to save water, heat, and chemicals, but also to prevent undermining pool structural components and washing away the fill dirt.

If your unsure about you pool’s “evaporation rate”, place a bucket of water beside the pool and mark both the water in the bucket and the pool water level. Wait 24 hours then check the loss of both. If the pool loses more water than the bucket, then you have a leak.

Green to Clean Start from Crystal Clear Aquatics LLC

Eliminating Green Algae Blooms

Florida presents its own special set of pool problems, especially those pesky Florida Green Algae Blooms. Green algae often appears as a green tint on the walls and/or bottom of the pool and your swimming pool water. The easiest way to prevent green algae blooms is by using a professional pool and spa maintenance company like Crystal Clear Aquatics. But if you are managing your swimming pool care, here are some ways to deal with the invasion of little green men.

To kill green algae, you need to use chlorine “pool shock”. Shocking uses granular form of highly concentrated chlorine, which quickly raises the chlorine level of the swimming pool water, killing off all of the algae. Be sure to brush the walls and floor of your swimming pool, loosening the algae in order to expose more of it to the shock chemicals, and aim for a pH of about 7.5.

If your swimming pool does not show considerable improvement after 24 hours, consider calling Crystal Clear! If it worked, the dead algae will turn lighter greyish/white and now you need to vacuum the pool thoroughly to pick up all the dead critters. Be sure to backwash your filter! Miss this and you’ll risk another bloom.

After washing the filter, test and balance all of your swimming pool chemicals. If you’d like to be 100% sure, call CCA and we’ll visit to help ensure your pool is properly balanced.

Based in Wellington Florida, Crystal Clear Aquatics is a family run company that can take care of any pool issue in the West Palm area . From maintaining crystal clear water, to equipment repair and replacement, we have you covered. We provide a large selection of pool services for swimming pools and spas. We offer pool maintenance programs throughout Palm Beach County in custom tailored packages that work within your needs and budget. Pool Issues? Call the Pros at Crystal Clear!

Most pool issues fall into 1 of 2 categories, chemistry and equipment.

It is very important to preserve the proper chemistry of your swimming pool water, therefore you should hire a professional to maintain your swimming pool or spa. Chemically treating a pool properly can be very frustrating to pool owners. Proper chemical treatment will ensure the health and well being of your family (and the pool). On average most pool professional visits hundreds of swimming pools each month and can draw from years of experience.

Another important reason to hire a professional is to properly maintain your pool equipment because most pool owners are not mechanically or electrically inclined. In addition, there are a lot of moving parts and any small mechanical issue can affect your pool’s operation and filtration process. A pool professional will not only keep your pool water clear and healthy, but they will also perform preventative maintenance on equipment to save you time and money as your pool ages.

Crystal Clear Aquatics Pool Service

West Palm Beach Pool Problems? Call CCA

Are you having West Palm Beach Pool Problems? Call CCA Experts at 561-318-6750 today. Crystal Clear Aquatics solves all kinds of Palm Beach County pool problems such as;

Algea – This is usually one of the most common types of pool problems around these parts due to the hot Florida sun. The problem causes the water in the pool to turn green. Algae growth is most often a result caused by the chlorine levels getting low. This problem can be treated using a chemical “shock remedy” for your water. More specifically, a “shock remedy” for your pool water involves the placement of a special chemical mixture into the pool. This “remedy” will often be an increase in level of chemicals found in a normal pool treatment. When this is combined with the proper amount algaecide, CCA will be able to exterminate the algae, resulting in crystal clear water.

Clogged Filter – Hot sunny days means plenty of pool activity. When you find the pool water starting to build up higher levels of debris with your filter appearing filled, it can be a sign that it is already clogged. However, this should not worry you completely, since it may simply be a sign that the filter is working, as this can happen after extensive use. When it gets clogged, it often means that the pool was dirty, and if the filters in the pool are regularly cleaned/replaced, then the pool water can remain relatively clean and safe. To prevent major or ongoing problems, you should carry out proper filter maintenance procedures and that’s a CCA specialty.

Murky/Cloudy Water – Cloudy water looks pretty uninviting. This condition can be caused by a number of factors but some more common issues include a lack of chlorine, filtration problems, increased precipitation, and increased swimmer usage. If you need to quickly get your pool crystal clear, call Crystal Clear!
